More LO's and What We're Up To

I am really pleased with this one of Gabby I did with TerrellS Nostalgia Papers, Free to Fly butterflies and Key to my Heart Paperclip. I even had a go at page folds and curls, Not too bad I don't think tee hee!! The journalling is by me and not a quote, as a lot of people have been commenting about "the Quote", sorry it's just from my mind, scary eh!! This is all of the pics of me having my Makeup and Hair done for the wedding and the finished product, Journalling is by me, not a quote. Kit is Grasshopper by Shannon.

Okay so it was only a matter of time before these photos got scrapped LOL. Michael stood on a chair to shotput the garter into the guys, one of which was Chris ooooww! So Nich caught it and he and Melissa were married this January, so maybe it's true what they say, although the girl who caught the bouquet didn't so I don't know about that. These are some photos of the Daintree Rainforest Frogs. So cute aren't they. Perfect for using the Grasshopper kit by Shannon of HODS and Divine Digital.

this one was fun to do. Michael said something like you are not ready Grasshopper when I said I was using a Grasshopper kit and that is where this Layout began. So after a search for pics on the web here we are with the appropriate quote and photos!!

As for us, we are both going okay. Michael managed to score a few overtime shifts this week on his days off, so that will keep the credit card happy. And apart from having a very red eye, who knows why, probably too much computer stare, so I've been trying not to do so much on the computer until it clears up, hmmm!! We are not up to much of anything else at the moment, although I did score a great deal on an MP3 player so that I will be more enthusiastic about going for walks etc. The Pasha Bulka is still stuck in the sand at Nobby's
Beach in Newcastle, and hopefully the weather reports will be right and Victoria's flooding will subside since they are forcasting better weather. And that's about it for now. Off to watch Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, he's so cute, and such a little boy in that one compared to the more recent Movies of the books!

Have a great Day!

Grasshopper's Galore

Okay I've got my Kit from Shannon and done two LO's today with it. Let me know what you think either here or in the galleries. And of course I had to start with a wedding photo. Well you guys know I have heaps of them to scrap and I actually haven't scrapped this one of us signing the register before. So there LOL...Don't you love the colours of this kit?!! Oh those Grass hoppers are soo darn cute!!!

LOL. This one I had to scrap, and it's not even mine. I received this via email from a relative (thanks sue) and I'm not sure if someone down the line knew these Aussies but this photo is so funny to us. (Aussies) Here's the story that goes with the photo.

Our Telephone company, well the main one anyway, has an add on the tellie for broadband with a guy driving his young son to school. Anyway they are driving along and the kid asks his dad. "Dad, why did they build the Great Wall of China?" The Dad thinks for a second and eventually comes up with this jewel of Wisdom for his son. "That was in the time of Emperor, Nasi Goreng, it was to keep the rabbits out. Too many Rabbits...in China!" It then shows you the kid standing at the front of his class and the teacher says, "Tommy will now present his talk on China!" So Hilarious. And the aim is that parents who don't know everything will get broadband so their kids will have the right resources.

So these Aussies have taken a pic on the Great wall of China with the sign saying Built by Emperor Nasi Goreng to keep the rabbits out. I just laughed my head off when I saw this pic and knew I would scrap it. Someone has already commented on it in one of the galleries saying I should send it to Bigpond (the phone company's internet branch) admittedly she was from Adelaide in South Australia. Shannon also did the Frames in this next LO. I scraplifted this a bit from the LO after it, whic was posted on www.MooTwoDesigns.com by ACMommy28. I just thought her LO was so cool!!! this is ACMommy28's LO called Incoming, isn't it cool!! She took these pics one afternoon and says the photos don't reflect how extreme it actually was. Cool though!!!LOL Alright this one I did for an add challenge and so I am advertising my brother's business in this one, since he was so kind to supply the pics I thought his would make a cool scraplift of the add we had to emulate. Notice though, Steve, I didn't use the purple zinc cream one LOL. I love the photo of him in India in front of the Taj Mahal. He's soooo brown in that pic, and that water is sooo blue. The photos are all just so awsome. There's a link at the top of my blog in a blinkie to Epic Pursuits if you want to go check out what he does. Okily Dokily, that's it for me for now. Hope you are all having a cool day and I'll catch you up again in a day or so!!!

Be good, and if you can't be good be careful.

Okay I just did a Quickpage for a challenge and thought that some of you might like to have it to use. I haven't really been doing any designing after the last Potpourri Freebie I posted here. So I hope you like it.

Okay remember to send people here if they want to have the quickpage please. And remember to give credit to Ambowife
Alright, we have had a quiet week. Michael hasn't had any overtime shifts for a few weeks now and I am relishing having him at home. It's just nice to talk to someone during the day and just having him here makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. And thats about all I'm going to tell you all about that. LOL.
Terrell has been accepted as a designer at http://www.mootwodesigns.com/ and I have been trying to get all my LO's up there as well as all the other Sites, hopefully her name will be burnt into everyone's brain by now, I have been doing a LO nearly every day LOL!!!
So here are a few of the LO's from the last few days.
Ha Ha. Michael wasn't too impressed with this LO's title. But everyone else seemed to like it!!!
This photos you may remember from the pics when we went for out Daytrip drive to the Blue Mountains.
One of my Brother's pics from Mount Cook well it's either Mount Cook or Mount Aspiring, I'm not really sure which, a lot of the pics have no name. Anyway, the pics are really cool, I try not to think what would happen if he fell. He's a Guide for Rock climbing and Mountaineering and he takes groups overseas to Nepal and New Zealand primariy. Here's a plug for his site.

I'm Back!!

This is me and Dani, my friend that I hadn't seen in around 10 years. And she hasn't changed a bit. It's like we saw eachother a week ago and that's what makes a great friend, someone you can call once in a blue moon and know that they will be just the same person they were when you last saw them.My Drive took me up the New England Highway and at the start of it, just outside Newcastle, I encountered this house being transported. There were heaps of us behind it doing around 50 kmh in a 100kmh zone. Even when it got to an overtaking lane we couldn't get past it because of it's width and bad visibility of oncoming traffic. Eventually it pulled across a little and we had a clear view of a long straight stretch of road with no oncoming traffic and we all took off past it! This took about 30 minutes!
I'm pretty sure this shot I took around Guyra, which is between Tamworth and Glennnes.I pulled over to the side of the road to take this gorgeous photo of the sunset.

Here is G playing her Violin for me, she played Mary Had a Little Lamb, and very well indeed. The pencils help her stay in the right spot with the bow. She is wearing her school Uniform.

And here she is with her Mum and Dad. just before I left to go back to Ipswich.
Me and Scott, Dani's Brother, on the lounge at their place with Kitchie. Scott is a big Cronulla Sharks fan.
Us with Mum (Gai) My second Mum, she's such a treasure.

T Calls his Grandmother "Momma" He is sitting on her walking aid here to have his tea when we went out to dinner the night before I left. He's so cute and a real character like his Dad.

See What I mean!!!
And here's Dad playing with T's Trucks. LOL. They were all great and I enjoyed my stay very much.
At the last minute before I left Danielle's other Brother arrived with his two little ones. I was so glad because it allowed me to get this pic of them. They weren't well when I was there or they were over when I was away visiting Steven. Their Mum was "Ill" when I was there too, so they spent quite a bit of time at Momma's while Mummy rested...
Okay Kitchie just thought I was the Ant's Pants, I think it was because I would go outside for a ciggie and he could come too. He was always excited to see us. And it was so nice being able to watch tellie and pat him, I really miss that with our dogs.
This is my Motel room at the place I stayed over at on my Drive home. Very reasonable price and everything I needed. Lucky to find anywhere with all the people stranded because of the flooding crisis, most places were full.
This one is the next day passing Newcastle, it's bypassed. I just had to take this pic, I was heading into the storm. But when I got to it it was just rain, no bad winds or that, so I was pleased. This is the new Pacific Highway (M1) not the Old one that collapsed, although the road was cracked a lot and there were signs saying there was subsidance on the shoulders and that they were not to be driven on. This didn't stop everyone though , there were two guys on the side of the road parked in their 4wd's just chatting on the side of the road. After a family of 5 was killed when the old Pacific Highway gave way from the flood damage and they fell in their car over 30 metres and were washed away to their deaths, I wasn't going to be driving on anything that was dodgy and definitely made me stick to stopping for the night. If I got tired and drove in the driving rain in the dark, I would never have seen any water across the road until I was in it. And people who don't dip their lights when they see yours, really peeve me off when I'm driving at night especially in the rain!!
So that was my trip and now I am home and catching up on everything, while M works.
Catch you all again soon.
Hugs

Where's Da Bling???

I'm So pleased with this Layout!!! Isn't it a cool Photo. This is a friend's son so I have given him the cool glasses to protect his identity. But I had so much fun scrapping this. Why do other people seem to take such fantastic photos when I can't get such great shots?? This pic is so cool!!

Credit Goes to TerrellS for her Girly Denim Kit and her Accoutrements Elements which is the Bling Letters and ?. You can grab these kits at HODS and DSC stores for a steal.
Okay now for the exciting news
I am going on a road trip up to Brisbane to visit a dear friend I haven't seen in about 15 years. I lost contact with her and then finally found her through the internet and her work. So I am sooo excited about going to see her. I will also catch up with Steven and Mandy so that will be fun too. Haven't seen Mandy in ages.
Well that's it for now.
Maybe I'll blog from Brissie!!
